National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal


The National Institute of Technology (NIT) is a public research university in Surathkal, a town located in Mangalore City, Karnataka. The Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC) was founded in 1960 and was upgraded to the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) in 2002. It is one of India’s thirty-two National Institutes of Technology and a Government of India-designated Institute of National Importance.


NIT in the NIRF Ranking 2021, is ranked 40th in the research category. In the NIRF 2021, the institute was ranked 10th in the Engineering category. And also, it has been one of the best government Engineering College in karnataka.


Manipal Institute of Technology


Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) was founded in 1957 as one of the country’s first self-financing engineering institutes.


MIT Manipal now provides UG and PG programmes in B.Tech, M.Tech, and M.C.A. The Manipal Institute of Technology’s flagship course is B.Tech, and admission is based on scores in the Manipal Entrance Test (MET), followed by counselling.


Students at MIT have the choice of doing full-time or part-time research. In the NIRF 2021 Ranking, it is placed 51 in the engineering category.


Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum  

 

Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust was founded by the Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology in 1986, and it is a well-known institute in Karnataka. The Institute is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation in New Delhi. It is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education in New Delhi.


M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology


MSRIT was founded in 1962 by the Late Dr M S Ramaiah, the founder chairman, who was a famous visionary, philanthropist, and pioneer in the development of various key infrastructure projects in India. Dr M S Ramaiah envisioned MSRIT as an institute of excellence that would provide excellent and inexpensive education to brilliant engineering professionals needed to construct a modern India.


MSRIT, which is part of the Gokula Education Foundation, has expanded throughout the years, thanks to major contributions from a variety of professionals in various positions, led by Dr M S Ramaiah, whose personal dedication has guided the institution through its formative years. International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore    

  

The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore, also known as IIITB, is a Deemed University that was founded in 1999 to contribute to the IT world through education, research, entrepreneurship, and innovation. The Institute is a registered not-for-profit organization supported by the Karnataka government and the IT industry.


R.V. College of Engineering  


The R.V. College of Engineering (RVCE) was founded in 1963 and is one of the country’s first self-financing engineering institutes. Rashtriya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST), a not-for-profit trust, manages the institution. The trust oversees 25 institutions, with RVCE serving as its flagship institution. RVCE is now regarded as one of India’s most prestigious technical institutes.


B.M.S. College of Engineering  

        

Late Sri. B. M. Sreenivasaiah, a great philanthropist and visionary, created one of the first and top private engineering colleges in India in 1946 in the green city of India – Bangalore. The NAAC has given the college an A++ rating. The Visvesvaraya Technological University is linked with the college (VTU).


The college’s strength is its big student body, which is the largest among all colleges in Karnataka. At any given time, there are approximately 5000 students enrolled in this engineering college in Karnataka.


Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur


SIT (Siddaganga Institute of Technology) was founded in 1963. This prominent institute is located in the town of Tumkur, Karnataka, and is one of the state’s best technological institutes in the country.



It is one of the Sri Siddaganga Educational Society’s 130+ educational institutions. It is connected with Visvesvaraya Technological University and is accredited by the NAAC with an “A” rating, with the NBA accrediting the majority of the undergraduate programmes.


NMAM Institute of Technology, Udupi  

      

The Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology (NMAMIT) is an autonomous engineering institution in Karnataka, that was founded in 1986. It is also NAAC accredited with an ‘A’ rating.


PES University


People’s Education Society University, Ring Road Campus (PESU RR), formerly PES Institute of Technology (PESIT), is one of three private universities under the name PES University in Bengaluru, India. Established in 1988, it is focused on five main educational areas: Engineering, Management, Law and Life Sciences. The institution offers both foundation courses in these areas, as well as specializations, with a Bachelors, Master or PhD degree. The college was established as PES University in 2013, as a state private university.
