Fifty years after it was launched to Venus by the Soviets, a probe could crash on Earth after failing to get out of the planet’s orbit. The probe dubbed Kosmos 482, renamed after it failed post-launch, was a sister spacecraft of the Venera 8 mission launched to Earth’s closest neighbour.
